Help-Link Acquires Miller Pattison
Leading boiler and central heating provider Help-Link UK Ltd has further cemented its position in the marketplace by acquiring loft and cavity insulation specialist Miller Pattison, formerly known as SIG Energy Management, from SIG PLC.
The deal, which was completed on Thursday 24th April, will see Help-Link expanding its unique boiler offering to incorporate insulation and build on Miller Pattison's expertise in the photovoltaic industry serving the ECO, private and new build markets.
As part of the acquisition, which takes place a year since Help-Link received investment from private equity firm NorthEdge Capital, Help-Link will take on Miller Pattison's network of 11 branches across the UK, their fleet of vehicles and 300 strong workforce.
Help-Link has grown phenomenally since the launch of the company's unique 'Johnny Ball £17 per month boiler deal' in 2011 and was further catapulted to success following the investment from North Edge.
The heating specialist currently employs over 900 staff across the UK and maintains a fleet of 500 vehicles. This rapid growth has also resulted in a revenue increase on a like-for-like basis of excess of 100%.
Help-Link's directors have a goal for the company to expand on its current boiler offerings by heating and providing energy saving measures for the entire home. The first part of this diversification plan is the acquisition of Miller Pattison.
Speaking of the purchase Help-Link's managing director Mel Butler said; ‘Since establishing Help-Link 15 years ago the company has gone from strength to strength. I have always had an aim that I would like to provide energy saving measures for the entire home, the acquisition of Miller Pattison is the first of a number of purchases in the pipeline to enable us to do this.
